NLC Class 1 Driver & Workforce Training Program
February 21, 2023 - April 30, 2023 Fort St. John Campus
This nine-week intensive program gives the selected participants the skills to successfully enter the workforce as a Class 1 Driver. This program will provide driver training, industry-recognized safety training and workforce courses.
If selected for the program, tuition, books and up to $300 of PPE will be included!
The program includes:
BC Class 1 Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT)
Fall Protection
Forklift Training
Skidsteer Training
Telehandler Operator
Aerial Boomlift/Scissor Lift
Workplace Fundamental Skills
Communication Skills
The participant will be responsible for travel, lodging and meal expenses. There will not be a stipend available for this program.

The prerequisite of the NLC Class 1 Driver & Workforce Training Program is obtaining your Commercial Learner’s Licence.
Once you have your Commercial Learner’s Licence or if you already have one, please take a picture of your learner’s licence and send to the email address: safetytraining@nlc.bc.ca before Feb 3rd.
