Restaurant Server Theory and Practicum
When it comes to an outstanding dining experience, guests rely on restaurant servers. They're the ones who make them feel welcome, can explain the menu, serve food, and provide all-around great service from the time guests arrive until they are ready to leave. The Certified Restaurant Server recognizes the high level of professionalism needed to succeed and to bring outstanding service to every guest. This course is paired with the Restaurant Server Practicum course, which offers an opportunity to do a practicum placement at a local hotel. The student will earn the opportunity to write the AHLEI industry recognized Guest Room Attendant Certification Exam.
The Hospitality Practicum exposes students to realistic work experience where they can practice what they learned in the classroom. The Hospitality Practicum is a necessary component of the Northern Lights College Maintenance Employee program through American Hotel & Lodging Education Institute (AHLEI)
