CFES Weight Weight Trainer Instructor Course
The CFES Weight Training Instructor Course is a practical course designed to teach foundation leadership skills for instruction of basic weight training programs and enable candidates to become nationally certified Weight Training Instructors.
It’s time to apply your fitness theory and deepen your knowledge of anatomy, movement mechanics and exercise physiology. You will learn how to apply your expanding understanding of kinesiology into movement mechanics, program planning, and design, while learning correct and safe exercise technique.
A key element in this course is the hands-on training. You will gain confidence in your ability to develop safe, effective and efficient exercise programs for people with varied needs and goals.
You will also visit community fitness facilities to practice using a variety of cutting-edge equipment and you will have the invaluable opportunity to start building your own network of industry professionals.

Exercise ideas and teaching techniques to be able to set up a program for a variety of ages, stages and special needs groups
A review of anatomy and physiology
Health screening and fitness testing

*You are required to have successfully completed the Fitness Knowledge course in order to enroll in this course.
* This is course is delivered through online live sessions with an instructor and self directed online with an in person practicum at the end of the course.
